Established in 1969, the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education initially had its headquarters in Shimla, later relocated to Dharamshala in January 1983. Starting with 34 employees, the board now boasts 643 employees. HP Board not only formulates curricula and textbooks but also conducts examinations based on the syllabus. Currently affiliated with over 8000 schools in Himachal Pradesh, the board has set up 1846 examination centers across the state.
